What is the Weather like in Philippines during Christmas Season?

Winter season is definitely not happening in the Philippines but Filipinos don't see it as a problem.

As a Filipino, I am used to the daily hot weather in the country. Depending on the area, the temperature ranges from 30°c to 40°c. I am located in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental where the normal temperature only ranges from 29°c to 35°c every day, but of course, it rises up if it is summer.

The temperature usually drops at the beginning of September. It never goes higher than 32°c which I would simply say Christmas is coming! The temperature gets lower and lower until it reaches December and people in my city will start to say "Sin-o naman nag bilin bukas ang ref man?" or in English, 'Who left the fridge open?'.

Ukay-ukay or thrift shops are the go-to places of Filipinos when buying long sleeved shirts, jackets, scarfs, and pajamas for the Christmas holiday. Many foreigners would find it funny, but us, Filipinos, have lived our lives in a hot and human area and having a cold weather like this is either good or annoying.

Some say 18°C is comfortable, but for many of us it is already freezing.

But for me, it is good. I enjoy cool and cold temperatures. I enjoy staying in a room with an air conditioner on. As I am writing this post, I just smile while seeing the 26°c - Cloudy notification from my task bar. This temperature will last until the end of January so my jacket-filled wardrobe is ready!
