A Night at Bacolod's Baywalk

I finally got the chance to visit Baywalk after many years.

The last time I came here was in summer 2016 and back then it looked like it was a deserted place where nothing but parked cars and old tires piled up in the middle of the empty space. The lights weren't bright either, though, the security was available.

This year, 2023, I decided to have a spontaneous night drive with my father and younger siblings. Our main problem was we didn't have money to pay for the entrance fee which costs PHP 20.00, but I was glad I received gift money from my aunt last Christmas and had been keeping it for this day.

I actually expected a lot after they reopened it because I heard many of my friends who went to visit Baywalk, they said it was great.

But I was a bit disappointed. Nothing is new except for the illuminated displays in the place.

For someone who has been a common visitor back in 2016, the place somehow felt much safer compared to how it was years ago.

The place was actually perfect for those who want to release some stress or simply stare at the sea next to it. There are a few food stalls there selling street food such as fish balls, hamburgers, and fried isaw (chicken intestine).

Going there really brings back memories.
