I Adopted Two Cats!

I always wanted to have cats.



For so many years, I was stern with my decision of not wanting to have friends after losing my last pet dog named Jimin due to an illness. I was very busy during that time because I was struggling to make ends meet and always doing overtime. I even thought that if I work from home, things might have been different, but I was wrong. I was locked in my room for hours and only get to see sunlight when I have a 30-minute break to see my pets and family.

I was hurt a lot that I cried and mourned for weeks.

But things have changed and now I was able to manage my own time while juggling both school life and work life. I decided to adopt two cats from a friend. I have always wanted to own cats but I always get discouraged because people tend to say that cats are difficult creatures to deal with, especially their poops are so hard to deal with. My friend, Justine, assured that they are fine and she has trained them to do their thing outside of the house. Unlike dogs, cats are very independent creatures so they don't need much attention all the time.

I adopted them last Saturday after our dance practice. Justine lives in Silay City so I had to commute for less than an hour to get the kittens. I went there with my friends, my sister and her son. To let off some steam, I brought my friends to relax and enjoy the breeze for awhile. 

It is definitely my first time owning cats, the moment I opened the box where they were, my heart just went soft that I totally forgot the fact that I have no idea how to take care of a cat! I was just so happy to see them and cooed at them like a baby. I didn't care if my jacket will be covered with fur, I just fell in love.

Initially, I named them Kyoko and Tohru since they are both female cats, but my boyfriend laughed and find it funny to name cats after my favorite characters from 'Fruits Basket'. So, I renamed them as Haru and Clementine. The names I wished to name my future children, if ever I have one. 

I wanted to have a male cat and a female cat so that I can name them Kyo and Tohru just like this couple here. >< But I should try finding an orange cat next time.


So far, they have been with me for less than a week but I could really tell that I am happy that I got them!

  I finally got the chance to visit Baywalk after many years. The last time I came here was in summer 2016 and back then it looked like it was a deserted place where nothing but parked cars and old tires piled up in the middle of the empty space. The lights weren't bright either, though, the security was available. This year, 2023, I decided to have a spontaneous night drive with my father and younger siblings. Our main problem was we didn't have money to pay for the entrance fee which costs PHP 20.00, but I was glad I received gift money from my aunt last Christmas and had been keeping it for this day. I actually expected a lot after they reopened it because I heard many of my friends who went to visit Baywalk, they said it was great.  But I was a bit disappointed. A New Blog for My Stories!

I first started reading fan fictions when I was in high school and I was captivated by the limitless scenarios one could imagine for a character. A lot of people may have a different impression (mostly negative ones) regarding fan fictions, but it does promote creativity to the writer. Sometimes, it is so difficult to find a certain muse or a model to base your characters with, especially with names, that I always end up using my favorite celebrities names to keep the story going.  Some fan fictions may include a lot of sexual stuff, but there are so many writers who aren't fond of it. Instead, they write fan fictions to express themselves, to inspire others and even to investigate a crime scene through the story. Bacolod City on January 1st

A few years ago, I used to visit my relatives on New Year's Day but things have changed since then.  I am not sure if it is just me or it is a part of growing up where you focus more on yourself more than other things.  I focused on spending time with my dad and my younger siblings. We decided to have a night drive with a tricycle around the downtown area.  We first dropped by Bacolod City Plaza where it was filled with illumination. It seemed that I should have gone when it was newly decorated because the lights would have been complete. When I came there, almost half of the illumination were broken.  It still pretty, I must say. I enjoyed strolling.
